Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is set to release tomorrow, and alongside that release Capcom have revealed the first batch of DLC to come for the crossover fighter. Still no X-Men, sadly.

Here’s who to expect from the first round of add-on characters:

  • Black Panther
  • Black Widow
  • Monster Hunter
  • Sigma
  • Venom
  • Winter Soldier

All these should be releasing by the end of 2017. We’d known about Mega Man’s Sigma and soon-to-be film star Black Panther before, but the rest are new announcements. It’s no surprise to see Black Widow and Winter Soldier in the lineup given how central they are to the modern Marvel film universe – and especially the absurd popularity of our boy Bucky.

You know who’s a good Marvel character for a fighting game? Wolverine. I’m not saying, I’m just saying.

You’ll get all six characters with the Deluxe Edition, which is going for $89.99 / £64.98 / €79.98 over the base game’s $59.99 / £39.99 / €49.99. No official word on yet on what the standalone Character Pass will cost, but I imagine you can make some solid inferences based on the price differences between the two versions. The base game, by the way, features a roster of 30 characters.

If you take advantage of the few hours remaining until MVCI’s release, you’ll also get Warrior Thor and Evil Ryu costumes for your pre-ordering trouble.

The fighting game community has been tepid in its reception of MVCI given its radical departutes from previous titles, but we’ve found it to be great if you’re an outsider to the genre.
