After a lot of waiting, a demo for Prey has finally hit PC. There’s been a console demo since April, but prospective PC players were told to purchase the full game and get a refund on Steam if they didn’t like it after playing for two hours. Not a great solution. Regardless, it’s no longer a problem as you can download the demo now.

Rather than a conventional demo, Prey has a free trial, so if you like what you see after an hour, you can buy the game and continue your progress instead of replaying the opening moments. This is now the case with the console demo, too.
It’s absolutely worth downloading, by the way. Prey is a cracker of a game, though not quite as exceptional as Arkane’s previous game, Dishonored 2. Check out my Prey review to see if it’s your cup of alien tea.
