Smite, the MOBA that pits religious deities against each other to prove who’s god is the one true one, has received a new divine presence. Zhong Kui is a Chinese god, and he’ll be providing demon exorcisms on the battlefield for all in need of a little less pea soup.

Zhong Kui carries around a Demon Bag, which can be filled with demons captured through the use of the Exorcism ability. The more demons Zhong collects in his bag, the more protection he gains. His ultimate attack allows him to release all the demons from the bag, who will then proceed to zoom about, damaging enemies and healing allies. And you thought a man with a bag would be a rubbish hero, right?

Zhong Kui will arrive with the upcoming patch for Smite, along with a second skin, King of Ghosts. The patch also sees popular god Guan Yu undergo a radical change, being altered from a magic casting character to a physical melee attacker. He’s also had quite the visual overhaul, sporting more muscle, reworked effects and new animations.

You can check out the patch notes over at Smite’s website, or wait for the patch to come into effect very soon to experience the changes for yourself.
