Steam Summer Sale day 5: the best deals

Steam Summer Sale Day 5

The fifth day of the Steam Summer Sale is here, and with it a slew of new deals. We’ve got plenty of quality RPGs available: Dishonored, Divinity: Original Sin and Bioshock to name a few.

You better take a look, otherwise you’ll have GabeN here to deal with.

Daily Deals:

Divinity: Original Sin

An impressive top-down RPG from Larian Studios, Divinity: Original Sins is a testament to how crowdfunded titles really can be a success. It’s has a healthy and detailed world, which you explore using two protagonists. If you’re feeling lonely, you can also recruit the help of a friend to control the second character too. Combat is turn-based, but challenging – just like the puzzles inside the game. Also, if you buy it now, you’ll get a free upgrade to the Enhanced Edition which is coming out soon, which overhauls pretty much everything for the better. At 33 percent off, it’s well worth the £20.09/$26.79 it’s on sale for.

Crusader Kings II

Ah, the great anecdotal generator that is Crusader Kings II. It’s one of the best strategy games around, able to craft infinite unique narratives that will keep you hooked for hundreds of hours. It can be quite daunting to play at first, as there’s a lot to stomach and learn, but it’s well worth the pay off; there’s also tons of YouTube tutorials floating around as well. Even if you already own the game, all its DLC is on offer as well, so be sure to grab any you’re missing. At 80 percent off, £5.99/$7.99 is a fraction when compared to the amount of game time you’ll get out of this one.

Dishonored

If you have still yet to try Dishonored, then this is probably the best time to do so. It has stealth, flashy powers, very sharp swords and a respectable storyline. Dishonored 2 is right around the corner, having just been announced at this year’s E3, so go grab it at 75 percent off for a measly £2.59/$4.99. Just go buy it.

Bioshock Triple Pack

What if I told you, that you can grab Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite for the low, low price of £5.99/$10.48. That’s right – three fantastic games, for the same price of a cheap movie ticket. Add to Cart please.

Flash Sales:

Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition

One of the best Bioware RPGs around, even standing toe-to-toe to Dragon Age: Inquisition in my opinion. Characters are well written and lovable, and the story is rich with detail. It is starting to age a bit, but no where near enough to start to hurt its replay value. The Ultimate Edition comes with all the DLC that was made too. It’s 78 percent off at £4.39/$6.59.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons

A very heartwarming tale of two brothers and their quest to save their father. It has plenty of solid puzzles that require that noggin of yours to figure out, or share brain power with a friend in co-op. You’ll need a controller to play, so be warned if you’re not equipped with one. It’s currently at a massive 90 percent off, putting it down to £1.09/$1.49.

I Am Bread

From the developers who brought you the hilarious Surgeon Simulator, Bossa Studios have made a game where you play as a piece of bread. Yes – just a normal piece of bread, exploring the world of a kitchen, and beyond. What’s special about it though is they’ve somehow managed to create a fun physics based sandbox that keeps raising the bar when it comes to outlandish ideas. It’s a delightful little game, and well worth 66 percent cut to bring it down to £3.39/$4.41.
