People do love those Halos, don’t they? If you are one of those Halo-lover who is also the owner of a PC, you may have contemplated grabbing Halo: Spartan Assault, which is kind of like the other Halos, but also a twin-stick top-down shooter. Unfortunately it was restricted to Microsoft’s consoles, Windows 8 phones – which are, not surprisingly, terrible for controlling games of this ilk – and Windows 8 PCs.
“No more!” Shouts Microsoft, pointing at its empty plate where a pile of money lathered in gravy once sat. It wants seconds, so you can now grab Halo: Spartan Assault even if you have Windows Vista. Imagine that. So it’s a big Halo party, and every OS from archaic Vista to 8.1 is invited.
The consensus seems to be that it’s “alright”. Authentically Halo, and a bit of arcade fun. If you already think the Halos are a bit guff, though, you’re probably not going to be converted.
You’ll be able able to grab it on Steam come April 4th if it sounds like your cup of space mari
