Aisha Tyler to be replaced by a wall of beards at this year’s Ubisoft E3 conference

Ubisoft

Ubisoft are teasing their lineup for this year’s E3, promising a bunch of surprises at their show on June 12. As you can see in the video above, there’s apparently going to be a lot of stuff they haven’t announced. At least one of those things will no doubt be the leaky Assassin’s Creed: Origins, mind.

My favourite part of the trailer is when Yves Guillemot sends out a social media post calling the show “iconic,” before deleting the word and tapping send. Ubisoft love an iconic hat or two.

One truly iconic thing is missing from the show, however. This is the first Ubisoft E3 conference in a long while that hasn’t been hosted by the lovely Aisha Tyler. Instead it will be developers. What the world loses in Tyler skipping the conference, it gains in beards.

“E3 is truly a moment of excitement and pride, not just for Ubisoft but for our entire industry,” says Ubisoft CEO and co-founder Yves Guillemot. “We’re looking forward to sharing our unique take on creating game worlds and our action-packed line-up with players, and to seeing what our fellow developers are working on.”

Ubisoft’s conference kicks off on Monday, June 12, at 1pm PT.
