Unravel 2 free trial gives you two levels and ten hours with Yarny

unravel 2 demo

Unravel 2 was kind enough to give us the ‘it’s out right now!’ moment of E3, but given all the other notable news at the trade show, Yarny’s return may have gotten lost in the shuffle. But worry not, because even if you’ve blown all your E3 funds on overpriced pre-orders, you can still try out Unravel 2 with what us old folks used to call a demo.

From now until July 30, EA is offering an “open trial” of Unravel 2, giving you ten hours to spend with the yarn-powered platformer – though only in the first two chapters. Save progress will carry over to the full game, which is available for $19.99.

Get tied up with your friends in the best co-op games on PC.

The deal is pretty similar to the Origin Access trial for the original game, though this time you don’t need to sign up for EA’s subscription service to partake. And, this time, you also get to enjoy the benefits of co-op play, tackling the game’s challenges with a friend in local multiplayer.

Unravel 2 reviews, including our impressions, have been pretty positive, with the game being “an absolute joy to play” in both solo and cooperative configurations. You can grab the trial for yourself via the Origin store, and warm your frozen heart with some wooly whimsy.
