Here’s 40 minutes of a man playing Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

Over at PAX East in Boston last week, Bethesda yammered on for half an hour or so about their recently revealed sequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order, which they’ve cleverly called Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.

It was some vey welcome yammering indeed, as it included the best part of an hour’s worth of gameplay footage from the game’s opening chapters. You can now watch the whole thing here and now, at your leisure. Between this and Epic chucking you their GDC presentations, it’s becoming increasingly feasible to never leave the house.

Wolfenstein: The New Order, if you didn’t already know, is without question the best first-person shooter released in ten years. So you might be interested in watching a hapless Bethesda employee fumble around with some clearly unfamiliar analogue stick controls, mucking up stealth sections and reverting to some of the new game’s weapons.

Alternatively, if you’re like me, you won’t want to watch any of this. Instead you’ll wait calmy and quietly for the game to launch.

The schlocky Nazi-horror of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood arrives on PC on May 5th.
