CS:GO’s Astralis wins a historic third consecutive Major

Team Astralis has just achieved a pretty special win this weekend

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro team Astralis has just achieved something pretty special – it’s won its third CS:GO Major in a row. The Danish team – whose members were described as “role models” by the then-Danish Prime Minister earlier this year – beat out team AVANGAR at the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 this weekend to take the win, marking a historic third straight Major victory.

As reported by Dot Esports, Astralis has proved itself a force to be reckoned with on the CS:GO pro scene, having followed up its previous Major wins at Katowice in March, and London, in September last year. This win also marks its fourth Major victory overall, which makes it the team with the most Majors won in CS:GO competition’s history.

Astralis was dominant pretty much from the get-go in its final against AVANGAR, having taken a lead of 12-3 in the first part of its match in the Inferno map, and then following it up with an overall win of 16-6.

The second match, played out in the Dust II map, saw a similar result, with a winning score of 16-5 against AVANGAR, with clever tactics, and 23 kills contributed by “Nicolai “Dev1ce” Reedtz helping it along to an impressive victory.

In other CS:GO news, it looks like some details on the next DLC may have been leaked – and they could point to some co-op missions heading to the game. The missions aren’t confirmed, but they sound pretty cool.
