The next Europa Universalis IV and Crusader Kings 2 expansions are out next month

Paradox have announced the release dates for two new expansions. One new piece of content will come to both Crusader Kings 2 and Europa Universalis IV next month.

Paradox make up a big chunk of our list of the best strategy games on PC.

Both strategy games will be heading east with their new expansions. Europa Universalis IV will move to the Middle East and central Asia for its Cradle of Civilisation update, which will be available from November 17.

Meanwhile, Crusader Kings 2 is on its way even further afield, focusing on China with the release of the Jade Dragon expansion, which is out on November 16. According to the game’s director, Henrik Fahraeus, Crusader King’s new expansion could be one of the last to come to the game. The strain that 14 expansions places on a game that’s now more than five years old is significant, and Fahraeus says the team is “starting to look at when to end” the game.
