Cyberpunk 2077 fans are campaigning for an achievement called ‘You’re Breathtaking’

Internet petitions are now being used for real good

Johnny Silverhand Keanu Reeves

At Microsoft’s E3 presentation, a new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer revealed Keanu Reeves in the role of Johnny Silverhand. Then he appeared on stage, a fan shouted “you’re breathtaking,” he shouted the same thing in response, and then revealed the Cyberpunk 2077 release date. The internet has not let this moment go, and now fans have declared that this moment should be memorialised in the game itself.

It started with a tweet from YouTuber Skill Up: “Petition to name the Cyberpunk 2077 100% completion trophy: ‘YOU’RE BREATHTAKING!’ Make it so, CD Projekt Red.” That got 1,000 retweets, then 50,000 upvotes on Reddit (via Gamebyte), then a Change.org petition, and now a PCGamesN article. Clearly, the people have spoken.

Trophies and achievements are more of a console phenomenon, but you can certainly earn named awards on services like Steam and GOG. If not a 100% completion trophy, you could still put the ‘breathtaking’ reference in when players first meet Johnny Silverhand, or when you have sex with Keanu. (Hey, Johnny may live only inside your head, but it’s cyberpunk, it could happen.)

CD Projekt ended up donating a go-kart to charity because of the you’re breathtaking guy, so the world’s gotten more than just some internet jokes from the exchange.

The jokes have been very good, though.
