What makes Forged Battalion interesting is its unit and faction designer modules. Rather than giving you a set of off-the-shelf units to pick from, you create your own using tech you unlock. You could think of it as “forging” a “battalion.”
Julian took it for a spin earlier this year and had generally good things to say.
The newly-added Tier 4 tech includes hover vehicle chassis, energy shields, and an “extreme low frequency” tower that blocks infantry and slows them down.
Forged Battalion is currently available on Steam in early access, with a full release scheduled for later this year. You can check out the full patch notes here.
