Looking to get your hands on the Fortnite tree skin in time for Christmas? Ever since all of the Winterfest cosmetics were datamined a couple of weeks ago, players have been trying to figure out how to get the Christmas tree skin in Fortnite.
In case you haven’t seen what this festive outfit looks like, the Lt. Evergreen is a giant fake Christmas tree covering a Jonesy skin. It’s part of the Piney Fresh set, but with 12 Fortnite presents on the left side of the Winterfest Cabin, and one on the right that is always the Millenium Falcon Glider, it does beg the question of how you get the Fortnite tree skin.

How to get the Fortnite tree skin
The Fortnite tree skin is hidden in plain sight – it’s literally the Christmas tree behind Crackshot in the Winterfest Cabin. Make sure to first inspect the presents on the left side of the cabin before investigating the Christmas tree, then hover your cursor over it and it should glow bright white. Click on it and you’ll have the option to open it by holding E, as with all of the other gifts. You’ll still need a Fortnite present token to open this up, so if you’re eager to get it make sure you’ve got one spare.

Last thing to bear in mind, a lot of players are reporting that the Christmas tree skin in Fortnite is bugged and they aren’t receiving the reward upon opening the tree. We’re not sure exactly what’s causing this, so stay tuned to official channels to see if an answer comes.
