Twitch streamer Summit1g says he’s done with GTA V RP

Twitch streamer Summit1g has said that he is quitting GTA V RP

GTA V System Requirements

28 May 2019 Summit1g has revealed that he is quitting GTA V RP.

It looks like renowned Twitch streamer Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar has called time on playing GTA V RP. Following a failed attempt at lighting a car on fire in the heavily-modded open world game, the streamer quit out, saying he was done for good.

In the middle of one of his regular streams playing the game, Lazar says “I’m done with this” and “this is my last day on NoPixel – it’s official”, referring to the server that hosts his game. He follows this up, saying “I’m so stupid that I’m done”, and then later “I’m so over this”.

It is perhaps unsurprising given that Lazar has suggested he might soon stop playing the game previously. He recently made comments about being in a full “YOLO mode” and saying that he’s worried that he’s “not gonna be able to get to do some cool shit I wanna do” while playing the game. The streamer also said at the time that he felt “like the end is near potentially for RP”, and that it’s possible he’ll leave the mod behind for good. It looks like now he has.

The main questions followers will now ask is, what next? It seems from his comments that he’s moving on to other things, and after quitting out of GTA V RP mid-stream, Lazar started playing PvPvE survival shooter XERA: Survival. Perhaps we might start to see him try out some other things too, given his dabblings in a variety of other titles in recent months.

For example, he helped to grow the player fanbase for Sea of Thieves through his sailorly shenaniganism on Twitch back in January, and has also streamed on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and even Mordhau more recently.

Given that GTA V RP has been a dominant feature of Summit1g’s streams in the last few months, it is probably unsurprising that he’s reached the end of his time with the game. Endless car chases, explosions, and high-octane heisting just start to leave the self wanting something more after a time, you know.
