Sale season is already in full swing ahead of Black Friday, and not to be outdone GOG is offering their own set of deep discounts on PC classics. On top of the savings you’re also getting free stuff, because apparently you can’t have sales without giveaways, as the Humble Store has demonstrated twice this week.
Before perusing GOG’s sale, be sure to check out the best old games on PC.
GOG’s giveaway is MDK, a fundamentally weird action game that defies description even to this day. It’s an old-school run and gunner, featuring straightforward alien-blasting action that’s nonetheless excellent in execution. Grab it here in the next day or so, and it’s free to keep forever.
The actual sale features plenty of goodies, including 60% off The Witcher 3 Game of the Year Edition and games like Total Annihilation under the $2 mark. Especially notable is Titan Quest Anniversary Edition at 80% off – perfectly timed with the sudden release of a new expansion.
Spending $15 or more in the sale also gets you a bonus copy of StarCrawlers, which GOG describe as a sci-fi Legend of Grimrock. That’s a pretty compelling pitch to me.
