Rainbow Six Siege’s next phase of Pilot Program skins leaked in new video

You can now represent your favourite Rainbow Six Siege esports team with operator skins

Rainbow Six Siege’s Pilot Program returns on September 10, introducing a fresh line of operator skins for 14 Esports teams across the four competitive regions: North America, Europe, Asia and Pacific, and Latin America.

The previous set of Pilot Program skins released at the Paris Major 2018 and brought nine skins for different operators, but in the year since a number of these organizations have changed – for example, the Immortals roster has now been transferred to MIBR. The Pilot Program’s revenue split is getting a makeover as well. In a blog post earlier this year, Ubisoft explained that 30% of revenues from each Pilot Program item would go toward the Pro League and the teams themselves. For Pro League sets, that cut will be split evenly between all teams in the program, and for Pro Team-specific items, that cut will go to the branded team, with 30% of that slice earmarked for players themselves.

The teams included in the second phase of the Pilot Program are Spacestation Gaming, Rogue, Evil Geniuses, Fnatic, Cloud9, Nora-Rengo, G2 Esports, Team Empire, Penta, Natus Vincere, FaZe Clan, Team Liquid, MiBR, and INTZ e-Sports. While that still leaves a lot of Rainbow Six Siege esports orgs out of the equation, that’s far greater representation than the previous Pilot Program. The Pilot Program assists massively with providing organizations with stable and steady income, so it’s good to see a greater variety of teams represented, especially from all regions.

A video leaked on Reddit shows the skins in action, gives a rundown of the teams involved, and provides the release date.

Many fans of Rainbow Six Siege’s esports scene will be especially glad to spot the addition of Japanese side Nora-Rengo, who made a name for themselves at the Six Invitational 2019 thanks to their charismatic coach, impromptu dances, and unconventional tactics.

This new batch of operator skins is also accompanied by weapon charms and skins for each team, all of which can only be purchased with Rainbow Six Siege’s premium currency, R6 Credits.
