Razer is once again making waves in the PC gaming peripheral scene, this time with its new gaming mouse, the Razer Viper V3 Pro. Not only is it impressively light at just 54g, but Razer has also secretly sent out units of this mouse into various competitive esports scenes, so it could be tested under the best possible conditions for the last six months.
Shaping up to be one of the best gaming mouse options for just about any situation, but particularly FPS games, on paper the Razer Viper V3 Pro does a lot to improve upon its sibling, the Viper V3 Hyperspeed.
Since October 2023, the Razer Viper V3 Pro has been in the hands of top-level esports pros, such as Zachary “zekken” Patrone, a Valorant player for Sentinels. Not only that, but the Viper V3 Pro was also being used by zekken as Sentinels stormed to victory at last month’s Valorant Champions Tour: Madrid Masters event.
The new V3 Pro brings some small design advantages over the Viper V3 Hyperspeed too, such as a lighter weight, a built-in battery, a 35K optical sensor, and new optical switches. You can now also choose between white and black models, although the white model is 1g heavier.
All these upgrades come at a cost, however, as the Razer Viper V3 Pro has an MSRP of $159.99 (£159.99). This puts it in direct competition with similarly priced mice, such as the Corsair M75 Air and Logitech Pro X Superlight 2.
A Viper V3 Pro is on the way to us now and we’ll soon have a review ready for you to enjoy. It has a lot to live up to, though, given that we awarded the Viper V3 Hyperspeed a rare score of 10/10.
