What is the weekend for if not taking control of an ancient deity and punching, shooting and setting fire to other gods’ faces? There might as well not be a weekend if we can’t enjoy some god-on-god fisticufs.
Conveniently, Smite – the F2P MOBA with brawling gods – is making sure you ignore any lovely summer weather this weekend by dragging you back indoors for its double favor weekend. It sure is tempting, especially when I gave the game an 8/10 in my Smite review.
From today until 11:59 PM EDT on June 29th, every match you play will earn you double the amount of favor. You’ll be able to get some of the premium currency, too, as each first win of the day bonus will come with 10 free gems.
The double favor is a good excuse to jump into what is an excellent MOBA. It’s action-based and full of ferocious battles and a massive array of colourful deities: Ah Muzen Cab, the Mayan god of bees is my personal favourite. I’ll task my review with filling you in more.
