Roberts Space Industries is holding another “free fly” weekend for their massive spacefaring MMO Star Citizen, so anyone can jump in and see what’s been going on with the alpha first hand.

The free weekend pass gives players access to a selection of Star Citizen’s spacecraft and vehicles. You’ll be able to try out the Aurora MR, the Cutlass Black freighter, and the new Cyclone reconnaissance vehicle.
Players can also try dogfighting in Arena Commander, and the FPS action of Star Marine mode. The free fly period started Friday and runs through Monday.
To play, you’ll have to sign in, or create a free RSI account, and add the promo code GETINTOTHEVERSE when prompted. After that, it’s simply a matter of launching the installer and drumming your fingers until the 41GB download is finished. Fortunately, the installer has some pleasant music to listen to while you wait.
