WildStar is the sci-fi MMO that evokes early WoW, and with good reason – its dev team features more Blizzard than the surface of Hoth. When it launched last year, however, its hoverboards hosted fewer players than Carbine were hoping for – so they’re rebooting it in free-to-play this Autumn.
The studio have also taken the opportunity to tackle the root causes of that slight playerbase. And we’ve the means to let you and 4,999 others into the new, much-improved WildStar early.

Carbine are running a closed beta for WildStar ahead of its transition – and its second phase begins today.
To be entered into the draw for a code, you’ll want to use the widget below. There, you’ve got a few different ways to boost your chances: liking our Facebook page; following us on Twitter; allow us to Steam Curate for you; telling your mum what lovely young men we are; that sort of thing.
After that, winners will be randomly selected and informed via email. That means you’ll need to give us an address – but we promise it won’t be sold for scrap or advertising.
Carbine have reexamined every stretch of WildStar in recent months, from levels 1 to 50 – paying particular attention to the areas that were player bloodbaths. The MMO you’ll play now should be smoothly-shaved, free from the stubble that was tripping up new players.
