Steam Sale is offering every Valve game ever for 15 dollars

Half-Life 2

The Steam Summer Sale is well underway, but one of the best deals we’ve seen so far is a bundle of every game Valve’s ever made, including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, available at a massive discount. It’s a perfect chance to finally figure out where all those Half-Life 3 jokes came from.

The Valve Complete Pack is 92% off during the sale, or $15.25 USD/£11.50 GBP. That gets you everything Valve’s made, including CS:GO, all the Half-Life titles, both Portal games, and Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2.

There are the mostly-forgotten oddballs in there as well. Deathmatch Classic, from 2001, is Valve’s tribute to Quake, complete with brown textures and heavy rivets, with characters from the original Half-Life running around with rocket launchers.

We need to go cheaper: here’s our list of the best free games on Steam.

There’s also 2003’s Day of Defeat, as well as the 2005 remake, Day of Defeat Source. These multiplayer WWII shooters were based on a mod for Half-Life, and set the stage for Valve’s now-established process of adopting mods into official standalone releases.

One of Valve’s early experiments in multiplayer games, Ricochet, is included as well. This had players leaping around glowing platforms in space while hurling lethal discs at each other.

These older, stranger titles in the Valve Complete Pack may only be interesting to try out briefly, but the inclusion of Portal 2, the entire Half-Life oeuvre, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive make this bundle hard to ignore. Plus, Steam will automatically take games you already own out of the bundle and recalculate the price, so you don’t have to worry about buying games you already own.
