Cyberpunk 2077 news reveal set for June

Expect more on CD Projekt's latest next month

Cyberpunk 2077

Looks like we’re going to get much more info on Cyberpunk 2077 soon. CD Projekt Red has announced the Night City Wire for June 11, and suggests you should “get ready” for a broadcast – at least, that’s what I’ll assume the TV emoji means. The event will coincide with the now-cancelled E3 dates, and is part of a broader set of summer news reveals from publishers around the industry.

It’s been some time since we’ve seen anything substantial on Cyberpunk 2077. We got a cinematic trailer at The Game Awards late last year, and it’s been even longer since we’ve seen an extended look at gameplay. The one real bit of recent news we’ve gotten is the new Cyberpunk 2077 release date – sadly delayed to September 17, but hopefully the extra time will mean a better game in the end.

CD Projekt Red is one of the studios participating in the Summer Game Fest, so it’s safe to expect some Geoff Keighley-produced content around the big news reveal.

Publisher-driven events kick off this week with a showcase of third-party games running on Xbox Series X – and while that’s a console-focused event, it’ll still feature plenty of upcoming PC games.

EA Play is also scheduled for June 11, so we’re going to have at least a solid day of videogame news, with or without E3.
