What are Dragon’s Dogma 2 Ferrystones? This uncommon item is one half of an easy life, and vital for getting around the vast lands instantly. You’ll gain a lot from wandering in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but sometimes you’ve got places to be, people to see, and the need to get there as quickly as possible.

The Dragon’s Dogma 2 release date is finally here, and we’re sinking our teeth into the meaty RPG game. Getting around the Dragon’s Dogma 2 map takes time, and while exploring Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a worthy endeavor, having a few Ferrystones in your backpack will make things a lot easier. Here’s how they work, and where to find them.

What are Dragon’s Dogma 2 Ferrystones?

Ferrystones are the consumable item that activates Dragon’s Dogma 2 fast travel. Essentially, when you use a Ferrystone, it will teleport you and your pawns to a permanent, or a temporary Dragon’s Dogma 2 Portcrystal. Ferrystones are consumable and will disappear after one use.

While you can walk anywhere in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and are encouraged to do so, there are times when you just don’t have the time to traipse the entire width of the map. Oxcarts can be restrictive and unreliable, so always try to keep one or two Ferrystones in your inventory at any time.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Ferrystone locations

You can find Ferrystones almost anywhere in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but the most consistent way of adding these teleportation devices is to purchase them from a store. You may occasionally find Ferrystones for sale in settlements and from wandering merchants, although, these are by their very nature, transient.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Eternal Ferrystone

The Eternal Ferrystone was introduced in the expansion to the original Dragon’s Dogma game. In Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, players had access to a special item in their item storage which gave them the ability to fast travel around the map with a single Ferrystone. While this item hasn’t been recreated as a mod, we have a number of Dragon’s Dogma 2 mods that you can use to create this essential item.

Using Crazy’s Shop and the Item Tweaks mod, you can give yourself hundreds of weightless Ferrystones for just one Gold per item. Sadly, this is only available on PC, sorry to any console users out there.
