How to find Rodge in Dragon’s Dogma 2 Prey for the Pack

You can save yourself a lot of time with our Dragon’s Dogma 2 Rodge location guide to stop the young boy from being torn apart by wolves.

Where can you find Dragon’s Dogma 2 Rodge’s location to complete the Prey for the Pack quest? Put yourself in the shoes of Morris, the Apothecary in Checkpoint Rest Town. You’re a simple man, you sell roborants for a decent profit, and you manage to support your family without having to work weekends. Suddenly, your grandson, Rodge, has been abducted by a pack of wolves — fortunately, the Arisen is here to save the day.

There aren’t a lot of people in Dragon’s Dogma 2 who would go into the wilderness to save someone, but the Arisen is a special kind of person. This quest is fairly simple to complete once you know where to go, and we’ve made that task a lot easier with our map marker. Don’t worry, the main Dragon’s Dogma 2 enemies you’ll be fighting are wolves for this quest. Remember, there’s no Dragon’s Dogma 2 fast travel Portcrystal in this town, so you’re going to have to rely on an oxcart if you want to get to Checkpoint Rest Town quickly.

This guide contains spoilers and answers to Rodge’s location and the Prey for the Pack quest.

How to obtain the Prey for the Pack quest

As soon as you enter the Checkpoint Rest Town, take a left and head towards the shop at the end of the path. When you walk past the potions store, you’re greeted by Morris, the shop owner. He spots that you’re new to the town and that you might be able to help find his missing grandson, Rodge. Luiz, a nearby NPC, alerts Morris that Rodge has been abducted by wolves.

The townsfolk are too weak to deal with the situation, and the soldiers in town won’t spend their time dealing with such matters, leaving you to save the day. This triggers the ‘Prey for the Pack’ quest, prompting you to find Rodge before the wolves finish him off.

Where to find Rodge in the Prey for the Pack quest

This is a time sensitive quest, so don’t waste too many days ignoring the mission, otherwise Rodge will die. Have another chat with Luiz to learn that someone in town saw Rodge being abducted, so head back to the town center and speak to Alsa, a girl wearing a green dress. She talks about flowers blooming at night, and while that sounds irrelevant to the quest, if you follow the petals at night they should lead you to Rodge. In practice, this method is tedious as you only have the glowing petals to help navigate you in the dark.

Alternatively, if you wait a day and revisit Morris, he tells you that Rodge loved planting seeds on a flowerbed located on the outskirts of town. Finally, if you speak to Jacini, a woman in the center of town wearing a white apron, she reveals the location of the flowerbed to you. Fun fact: you can skip the talking preamble by heading directly to the location we’ve highlighted. You shouldn’t have any issues getting to the flowerbed as the path largely follows one of the few roads on the map.

You’ll want to use our map above to find the location of the cave Rodge has been unceremoniously dragged into. As you approach the Putrid Cave, you should turn your lantern on so you spot all the wolves in the dark. It shouldn’t take long before you find Rodge trying to run away from the wolves, or, in the worst case scenario, you will find a ‘Scrap of Cloth’ on the ground. Rodge needs to be escorted back home before you can turn in the quest, so head back to Morris right away. If you found the Scrap of Cloth, you can return the item to Morris whenever you want.

Prey for the Pack quest rewards

You’re almost ready to claim the Prey for the Pack quest rewards, and if you managed to keep Rodge alive, you’re in luck as the rewards are worth the hassle.

Here are the Prey for the Pack quest rewards if you keep Rodge alive:

  • 4,000 XP
  • Miracle Roborant x2
  • 11,000 Gold

If you took too long and Rodge ended up turning into a scrap of cloth, Morris will reward you with just 4,000 XP for your troubles. To be fair, you did let his grandson die… you’re lucky to receive anything when you think about it.

That’s all you need to complete the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Prey for the Pack quest.
