Google Stadia will launch on November 19, Founder’s Editions in the post

The first Google Stadia Founders Editions will be delivered November 19, 2019

The Google Stadia release date is November 19, 2019, Google has announced at its Made by Google event in New York. Those that pre-ordered the $130 Founder’s Edition kit back when it was announced will gain access to the service at 9AM PST sharp (5PM BST), at which point PC hardware is dead, I suppose.

No, we’ve still got some years in us yet. But Stadia owners will be able to enjoy Red Dead Redemption 2, Mortal Kombat 11, and Destiny 2: The Collection come day of release in 4K HDR glory – although you’ll need an internet connection capable of hacking that kind of data downpour, too.

Google has said it will be shipping pre-orders of Google Stadia Founder’s Editions and Premiere Editions in the order in which they were placed. So don’t fret if you don’t receive yours right away. Google will email you once your kit is shipped, and you’ll receive a code to activate your account (at which point you can choose a Stadia name) and your three months of Stadia Pro subscription.

In the Founder’s Edition box delivered to your door you will find a Stadia Controller and a Chromecast Ultra capable of beaming your games onto the big screen.
