The staff lightsaber may have been made popular by a Sith, but it’s still pretty cool. So here is how you can get it yourself

How do you get the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order double-bladed lightsaber? Or, as some others may call it, the staff lightsaber – we don’t judge. The Jedi: Fallen Order weapon is more than just a flashy staff, but comes with gameplay advantages, too. So you ought to consider picking it up as soon as possible.

The main area that the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order double-bladed lightsaber excels in is dealing with group encounters. There are quite a lot of enemy pile-ups in this game, so you’ll get plenty of use out of the staff lightsaber. If you’re playing on a higher Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order difficulty, these can be especially annoying. We should note, too, that you can get this weapon by just playing the game, but it won’t be until much later. So read on if you want to get it nice and early.

Throughout this Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order double-bladed lightsaber guide we’ll go over the quickest way to pick this weapon up. Even if you’re quite attached to your single blade, options never hurt anyone.

Where to find the staff lightsaber?

The earliest opportunity for you to get the Jedi: Fallen Order dual lightsaber is right after you finish up on Bogana. Once you do so, you should have the option of travelling to Zeffo and Dathomir. It’s the latter we’re interested in so head there.

Once you touch down, you’ll want to take a hard right. You should see a temple entrance in the distance, so head in that direction. There are some minor platforming and climbing sequences to get through, but it’s pretty straightforward.

As you progress through the temple, you’ll come across plenty of enemies known as Nightbrothers. Don’t worry, though, as you don’t have to fight them, and you can sprint right by ‘em.

Eventually, you’ll come to a cloaked chap in an area called Brother’s Bastion. Turn around at this point and drop down and to your right you should see a small cave. In there you’ll find a workbench – use it, and you’ll get the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order double-bladed lightsaber. If you’d like a more visual demonstration, check out the video above.

How to use the dual-wield lightsaber

To unlock the dual-wield lightsaber, you’ll have to follow the same process as unlocking the different lightsaber colours in Jedi: Fallen Order. Once you’ve created your second lightsaber this way, the dual-wield lightsaber will unlock. The dual-wield lightsaber isn’t technically a different lightsaber type, instead it’s a new attacking moveset. Don’t worry, we were a little disappointed, too.

And there you have it, that’s how you get Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order double-bladed lightsaber. It’s a handy option for big groups of enemies, not unlike the ones you had to deal with to get the lightsaber.
