How do you get the Dauntless Molten Edict Exotic? Of all the hammers in the game, the Molten Edict one of the rarest and most effective monster slayers of them all thanks to its status as one of the few Exotic weapons in Dauntless. Acquiring Dauntless Exotic weapons is as much a game of chance as skill, but it’s one you’ll want to play if you’re going to be the best there is. It’s time to strap in and get ready for the grind because this is one hammer worth chasing.
The hammers in Dauntless are already fearsome weapons; this is, in part, thanks to their unique ability to unleash damaging blasts. The Dauntless Molten Edict Exotic goes above and beyond this by turning each of these blasts into a powerful fireball. Better yet, every attack from this impressive hammer deals Blaze damage, which makes it one of the best choices against any pesky Frost Dauntless Behemoths.
To unlock the weapon, you first need to get the Molten Edict blueprint, then you’ll need to gather up a lot of materials, and finally craft this massive maul.
How to get the Dauntless Molten Edict Exotic
In order to get hold of the Molten Edict blueprint, you’re going to need to get ready to make your way through a lot of Heroic Patrols and prepare to take out the Firebrand Charrogg. Word to the wise here, this is an endgame weapon so if you are just starting out, then don’t worry about trying to grab this Exotic, or indeed any other of the myriad Dauntless Exotics, just yet.
There’s no way to boost your chances of finding this, which means you are going to be doing this for as long as it takes. If you’re lucky, the blueprint could drop on your very Heroic Patrol. If you’re unlucky, then you’d best be prepared for some disappointment. Once you finally acquire the blueprint, you need to collect the following crafting materials:
- 150 Rams
- 3 Charrogg Scale
- 4 Scorched Rockhide
- 6 Elemental Furyplate
- 3 Elemental Tailgem
The good news is that, depending on how many times you had to fight the Firebrand Charrogg to get the blueprint, you may well have some of these items already. You should have the Charrogg Scale and the Scorched Rockhide as well as the Rams ready to go. The tricky materials are the Elemental items.
You can get the Elemental Furyplate by breaking the limbs of any Elemental Behemoth that is a threat level 8 or higher. You have to do this when they are enraged though, or it won’t drop. The Elemental Tailgem can be acquired by destroying the tail of an Elemental Behemoth within 2 minutes of the combat starting. This has to be done at threat level 8 or higher too, and ironically, you’ll need to use a weapon that can sever, so the hammers won’t help here.
