Fortnite servers are now online following the start of the latest season, in which The Simpsons arrive on the island. We'll let you know if any issues arise, but it's smooth sailing for now.
Generally speaking, Fortnite servers only go down during maintenance periods between patch updates or when demand is increased to the point of overloading servers, such as the first day of Lego Fortnite going live.
There have been exceptions where things have taken longer, like the prolonged downtime at the start of Chapter 5 Season 2, where the maintenance period was extended by eight hours, or wider outages like the recent Amazon AWS issues.

The next major planned downtime will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, when the current season ends. The Simpsons season is shorter than usual, concluding after just four weeks.
