The League of Legends patch 12.13 notes are now available for the live update. Following the extensive LoL patch 12.12, thanks to the new update we now know what Riot Games is bringing to its popular MOBA game next – and it’s got some stellar new skins and a lot of champion changes.

It seems Riot wasn’t content with nerfing new champion Bel’Veth, the Empress of the Void in patch 12.12, now 12.13 is starting to go through the PBE patch cycle and it’s already host to some big champion changes – such as a big range of buffs for Gwen, Katarina, and a big nerf for Sivir.

While 12.12 went for some ice-themed skins, 12.13 is reaching for the stars instead. Various Star Guardian forms for Kai’Sa, Nilah, and Ekko are coming in the next patch – including an alternate Prestige version for Ekko and Star Nemesis for Fiddlesticks.

And now, here are the League of Legends patch 12.13 notes (thanks, Surrender at 20!).

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS PATCH 12.13 RELEASE DATE AND DOWNTIME

According to the League of Legends 2022 patch schedule, the League of Legends patch 12.13 release date is set for Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

Maintenance times haven’t yet been confirmed, but usually begin at 3am PT for NA servers, 5am UK time for EUW servers, and 3am CET for EUNE servers, and last for approximately three hours, so expect downtime to start sometime around then.

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS PATCH 12.13 CHAMPION BALANCE Changes

Bel’Veth – Nerfed

  • HP per level decreased to 99 from 105
  • AD per level decreased to 1.7 from 2
  • Royal Maelstrom (E) – Cooldown increased to 22/20.5/19/17.5/16 from 22/20/18/16/14. Lifesteal decreased to 20% from 20/22/24/26/28%
  • Endless Banquet (R) – True Form bonus health bonus AD ratio decreased to 120% from 165%

Caitlyn – Nerfed

  • Headshot (Passive) – AD ratio increased to 60-110% from 50-100%
  • Yordle Snap Trap (W) – Damage decreased to 40/85/130/175/220 (+40/50/60/70/80% bAD) from 60/105/150/195/240 (+40/55/70/85/100% bAD)

Corki – Nerfed

  • Gatling Gun (E) – AD ratio per tick increased to 15% from 10% bAD
  • Missile Barrage (R) – Rocket Damage decreased to 80/115/150/185/220 from 90/125/160/195/230. AP ratio lowered from 20% to 12%. Big One Rocket Damage decreased to 160/230/300 (+30/90/150% AD) (+24% AP) from 180/250/320 (+30/90/150% AD) (+40% AP)

Elise – Buffed

  • Base Health increased to 650 from 625
  • Health Growth increased to 109 from 107
  • Base Armor increased to 30 from 27
  • Neurotoxin (Human Form) (Q) – Base Damage increased to 40/75/110/145/180 from 40/70/100/130/160

Evelynn – Buffed

  • Demon Shade (Passive) – Self Heal at Low Health increased to 15-150 (levels 1-18) per second from 15-75 (levels 1-18)
  • Allure (W) – Enemy Magic Resistance Reduction increased to 35/37.5/40/42.5/45% from 25/27.5/30/32.5/35%
  • Last Caress (R) – Seek ‘N’ Hide – using R now puts Demon Shade on a 1.25 second cooldown (rather than the usual 4 second cooldown)

Fiddlesticks – Buffed

  • Terrify (Q) – Fear duration increased to 1.25/1.5/1.75/2/2.25 from 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2
  • Crowstorm (R) – Damage increased to 750/1250/1750 (+250% AP) from 625/1125/1625 (+225% AP). Damage per second increased to 150-350 +50% AP from 125-325 +45% AP

Galio – Buffed

  • Winds of War (Q) – Tornado Damage per Tick increased to 2.5% (+1% per 100 AP) of target’s maximum health from 2% (+0.66% per 100 AP). Tornado Max Damage (over 5 seconds) increased to 10% (+4% per 100 AP) of target’s maximum health from 8% (+2.64% per 100 AP) of target’s maximum health

Gwen – Nerfed

  • HP Regen growth increased to 0.9 per 5 seconds from 0.55
  • A Thousand Cuts (Passive) – Maximum damage against monsters decreased to 6 (+10%) from 10 (+15%)
  • Snip Snip (Q)
    • Base damage per snip increased to 10/14/18/22/26 (+5% AP) from 9/12/15/16/21 (+5% AP)
    • Final snip damage increased to 60/80/100/120/140 (+35% AP) from 45/60/75/90/105 (+25% AP)
    • Center true damage decreased to 75% from 100%
    • Minion Played Rock – Now deals 75% damage against minions with more than 20% health
    • Minion Played Paper – Minions below 20% health take 1000% bonus damage instead
  • Hallowed Mist (W)
    • Duration decreased to 4 from 5
    • Bonus Armor and MR increased to 17/19/21/23/25 (+7% AP) from 12/14/16/18/20 (+5% AP)
  • Skip ‘n Slash (E)
    • Cooldown increased to 13/12.5/12/11.5/11 from 13/12/11/10/9
    • Bonus magic damage increased to 15 (20% AP) from 10 (+15% AP)
    • CDR changed to 25/35/45/55/65% from 50%
    • Bonus Range increased to 75 from 50
  • Needlework (R) – Damage per needle increased to 35/65/95 (+9% AP) from 30/55/80 (+8% AP). There is also now a 1.5s cooldown with no need to attack between casts. Recast resets after 1 second

Karthus – Buffed

  • HP per level increased to 110 from 101
  • Base armor increased to 21 from 18

Katarina – Buffed

  • Voracity (Passive) – AP ratio increased to 65/75/85/95% from 55/66/77/88%
  • Bouncing Blade (Q) – Damage increased to 80/110/140/170/200 (+35% AP) from 75/105/135/165/195 (+30% AP)
  • Death Lotus (R) – Physical damage increased, on-hit modifier increased to 30/35/40% from 28/33/38%

Kled – Buffed

  • Bear Trap on a Rope (Mounted) (Q) – Initial Damage increased to 30/55/80/105/130 (+65% bonus AD) from 30/55/80/105/130 (+60% bonus AD). Second Activation Damage increased to 60/110/160/210/260
    (+130% bonus AD) from 60/110/160/210/260 (+120% bonus AD)
  • Violent Tendencies (W) – cooldown decreased to 11/9.5/8/6.5/5 seconds from 12/10.5/9/7.5/6

Leona – Buffed

  • Sunlight (Passive) – Damage increased to 35-188 from 25-44

Master Yi – Buffed

  • Attack Range increased to 175 from 125
  • Meditate (W) – Cooldown decreased to 9 seconds from 28. Mana Cost changed to 40 + 6% maximum mana per second from 50. Damage Reduction changed from 60/62.5/65/67.5/70% to 90% for the first 0.5 seconds. Lingering Damage Reduction changed from for 0.5 seconds after Meditate ends, but not exceeding a total of 4 seconds to just 0.5 seconds after Meditate ends

Nilah – Nerfed

  • Formless Blade (Q)
    • AD Ratio increased to 90/100/110/120/130% from 80/100/120/140/160%
    • AoE damage against monsters decreased to 10%
    • Active attack speed decreased to 15-65% from 20-76%
  • Apotheosis (R) – AD ratio per tick reverted to 50% from 35%. Burst AD ratio decreased to 120% from 200%

Olaf – Nerfed

  • Health regen lowered to 6.5 from 8.5
  • Health regen growth lowered to 0.6 from 0.9
  • Health regen at 18 lowered to 16.7 from 23.8
  • Berserker Rage (Passive) – Max attack speed increased to 60-100% from 40-100
  • Undertow (Q) – Mana cost increased to 50/55/60/65/70 from 40/45/50/55/60

Renekton – Buffed

  • Dominus (R) – Magic Damage per tick increased to 20/50/75 (+10% AP)(+10% bonus AD) from 25/50/75 (+10% AP)

Senna – Nerfed

  • Base HP lowered from 560 to 530
  • Piercing Darkness (Q) – Base damage changed to 30/65/100/135/170 from 40/70/100/130/160
  • Last Embrace (W) – Root duration lowered to 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 from 1.25/1.5/1.75/2/2.25

Seraphine – Nerfed

  • Stage Presence (Passive) – AP ratio per note lowered to 6% from 6-9%
  • Beat Drop (E) – Slow duration lowered to 1.25s from 1.5s

Shaco – Buffed

  • Backstab (Passive) – AD ratio increased to 20% from 15%
  • Deceive (Q) – AD ratio increased to 50% from 40%
  • Jack in the Box (W) – Cooldown lowered to 15 from 16

Sivir – Nerfed

Base Stats:

  • Base Health decreased to 600 from 632
  • Base Mana increased to 340 from 325
  • Mana Growth decreased to 40 from 50
  • Base Mana Regeneration decreased to 1.2 from 1.6 per second
  • Mana Regeneration Growth decreased to 0.16 from 0.18
  • Base Attack Damage decreased to 58 from 63
  • Attack Damage Growth increased to 3.3 from 3

Abilities:

  • Divine Sunderer – Heal decreased to 75% from 100% of damage dealt
  • Passive – Fleet of Foot – Bonus Move Speed increased to 55/60/65/70/75 (levels 1/6/11/16/18) from 35/40/45/50/55. Duration now decays over 1.5 seconds
  • Boomerang Blade (Q)
    • Base Damage decreased to 25/40/55/70/85
      (+80/85/90/65/100% total AD) (+60% AP) from 35/50/65/80/95 (+70/85/100/115/130% total AD) (+50% AP)
    • Cooldown is now 7 seconds at all ranks
    • Cast time changed from 0.25 seconds to 0.25-0 seconds (scales down with attack speed)
    • Critical Chalicar now scales with critical strike chance, dealing up to 50% bonus damage at
      100% crit chance
    • Mana Cost decreased to 55/60/65/70/75 from 70/80/90/100/110
    • Missile Speed changed to 1450 outwards and 1200 inwards from 1350
  • Ricochet (R)
    • Damage decreased to 30/35/40/45/50% from 30/45/60/75/90% total AD
    • Mana Cost decreased to 60 from 75
    • Buff Duration for 3 attacks is now 4 seconds
    • Cooldown changed to 10 seconds at all ranks from 12/10.5/9/7.5/6
    • Speed Boost – activating Ricochet grants Sivir 20/25/30/35/40% bonus attack speed
    • Tough Crowd – deals 80% damage against minions
    • Max Bounces changed from unlimited to 8 bounces per Attack
    • Bounce Range increased to 500 from 450
    • Bounce Missile Speed increased to 1000 from 700
    • Bounce Boost – ricochets can now bounce back to targets that have already been hit, but only
      one additional time. Ricochets will prioritize new targets first
  • Spell Shield (E)
    • Happy Heals – blocking an enemy ability now heals Sivir for 60/65/70/75/80% of her total AD
      (+50% total AP)
    • Cooldown increased to 22/20/18/16/14 seconds from 22/19/16/13/10
    • See Ya – Blocking an enemy ability now procs Sivir’s Fleet of Foot passive
    • Not So Quick – Blocking an enemy ability with E no longer refunds mana
  • On the Hunt (R)
    • Duration changed to 8/10/12 seconds from 8 seconds at all ranks
    • Cooldown decreased to 100/85/70 seconds from 120/100/80
    • The Hunt Continues – If Sivir assists with a recent takedown while On the
      Hunt is active, its aura will now refresh its duration
    • Cool(Down) – Sivir’s basic attacks during On the Hunt now reduce her
      basic ability cooldowns by 0.5 seconds per attack
    • Farewell Good Hunters – Sivir no longer gains bonus attack speed from On
      the Hunt
    • Slow Start – No longer gives Sivir and her allies an initial movement speed burst

Tahm Kench – Nerfed

  • HP per level lowered to 103 from 109
  • An Acquired Taste – health ratio lowered to 3% from 4%

Taliyah – Nerfed

  • Rock Surfing (Passive) – Taliyah’s passive cooldown will no longer reset due to proc damage (like Liandry’s Anguish)
  • Weaver’s Wall (R) – no longer goes on cooldown when Taliyah damages wards or traps
  • Threaded Volley (Q)
    • Mana cost lowered to 55/50/65/60/75 from 60/65/70/75/80
    • Damage per rock increased to 45/65/85/105/125 from 40/60/80/100/120
    • 5-rock damage increased to 117/169/221/273/325
      (130% AP) from 104/156/208/260/312 (+130% AP)
    • Boulder Damage increased to 85.5/123.5/161.5/199.5/237.5 (+95% AP) to 76/114/152/190/228 (+95% AP)
    • Monster bonus damage lowered to 25 from 30
    • Boulder now stuns monsters for 3s

Vex – Buffed

  • Mistral Bolt (Q) – Cooldown lowered to 8/7/6/5/4 from 9/8/7/6/5. AP ratio increased to 70% from 60%

Volibear – Nerfed

  • Thundering Smash (Q) – Bonus Move Speed lowered to 8/12/16/20/24% from 10/14/18/22/26%. Damage lowered to 10/30/50/70/90 (+120% bonus
    AD) from 20/40/60/80/100 (+120% bonus AD)
  • Frenzied Maul (W) – Damage decreased to 5/30/55/80/105
    (+100% AD) (+5% bonus health) from 10/35/60/85/110 (+100% AD) (+ 6% bonus health)
  • Skysplitter (E) – Damage decreased to 80/110/140/170/200 (+80% AP) (+9/10/11/12/13% of target’s maximum health) from 80/110/140/170/200 (+80% AP) (+11/12/13/14/15% of target’s maximum health). Damage Cap against Non-Champions decreased to 650 from 750

Wukong – Nerfed

  • Nimbus Strike (E) – Monster damage lowered from 160% to 120%
  • Cyclone (R) – Cooldown increased from 120/105/90 to 130/110/90

Yuumi – Nerfed

  • Bop ‘n’ Block (Passive) – No longer grants 50 bonus attack range

Zeri – Nerfed

  • Lightning Crash (R) – Bonus move speed per stack lowered from 1% to .5%

Divine Sunderer – Nerfed

  • Spellblade Damage changed to 125% base AD (+(6%
    melee/3% ranged) of target’s maximum health from (12% melee/9% ranged) of target’s maximum health
  • Heal changed to 65% of
    premitigation damage (+(4.8% melee/2.4% ranged) of target’s maximum health) (+100% base AD) from 50% of premitigation damage (+(6% melee/3% ranged) of target’s maximum health)
  • Mythic Passive Bonus for Legendary Items decreased to 3% armor
    penetration and 3% magic penetration from 5% armor penetration and 5% magic penetration

Demonic Embrace – Buffed

  • Passive – Azakana Gaze now stacks when applied by multiple users (however one user cannot refresh another user’s application of the passive)

Duskblade of Draktharr – Buffed

  • Mythic Passive Bonus for Legendary Items changed to 5 Ability haste and 5 move speed (same for Ornn Masterwork item, Draktharr’s Shadowcarver) from just 5 Ability haste

Eclipse – Buffed

  • Mythic Passive Bonus for Legendary Items increased to 4% Armor penetration and 5 move speed (same for Ornn Masterwork item, Syzygy) from just 4% Armor penetration
