You can feed your Sims to the sharks in The Sims 4: Island Living

Now you can recreate a bit of Jaws in The Sims 4.

There’s tons to do on the tropical island of Sulani, the setting for The Sims 4’s latest expansion Island Living. You can pet dolphins, upbraid litterbugs, and even cavort with mermaids. As it turns out, you can also be eaten by sharks.

Twitch streamer HollieBB, who specializes in The Sims, captured a shark attack on her stream Friday. Her Sim is swimming in the ocean at night, just a little way from the shoreline. Her Sim becomes tense from Fin Fear – the status that happens when your Sims see a lone dorsal fin approaching in the water. Suddenly, her Sim disappears beneath the surface, re-emerging a few seconds later, thrashing and waving for help. She’s pulled back under the water, and after a few tense moments, the good old Grim Reaper appears, as Hollie looks on, wide-eyed.

It appears as though her Sim died from drowning rather than from, well, being eaten by a shark. The Sims 4 doesn’t let you actually see the attack itself, which is probably just as well. And from the Sim’s perspective, the result is the same: Death by shark.

Here’s the clip:

As you can see from the video, one of Island Living’s mermaids shows up a bit too late to do anything helpful.

There are plenty of wholesome things to do with Island Living, but since this is still The Sims 4, part of the fun is of course figuring out new ways to kill off you Sims. Now it seems you won’t even have to delete the ladder from the swimming pool.
