The Game Awards 2022 winners have been revealed in another trailer-packed night dedicated to celebrating the games industry and the people who love it. This year’s overall winner was Fromsoft’s magnificent RPG game Elden Ring, which won Game of the Year, Best Direction, Best Art Direction, and Best Role-Playing Game. There were plenty of other category winners as well – Sony Santa Monica’s God of War: God of War Ragnarök went home with six Game Awards trophies.
Highlights from this year’s show included the reveal of FromSoftware’s Armored Core 6, Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding 2, Al Pacino presenting the Best Performance award to God of War: Ragnarök’s Christopher Judge, the official announcement that Returnal will be coming to PC, and the first gameplay footage of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
