Overwatch 2 Ramattra abilities

The latest tank hero in Blizzard’s hero shooter has finally arrived, so check out the Overwatch 2 Ramattra abilities to find out what this Omnic is capable of.

Overwatch 2 ramattra abilities: Ramattra posing menacingly in Nemesis form as he prepares to attack

In order to utilise Overwatch 2 Ramattra abilities, you have to strike the perfect balance between Ramattra’s two forms. Qui Fang, lead concept artist at Blizzard, has described Ramattra as being Overwatch 2’s first tempo tank as he can match the pace of the game by switching forms.

The best Overwatch 2 tanks are just as adept at absorbing damage as they are dealing damage, and Ramattra is no exception. With the Overwatch 2 Season 3 release date right around the corner, you’re going to want to brush up on Ramattra’s abilities to get an edge on your opponents in one of the best free PC games.

Ramattra abilities

What separates Ramattra from the rest of the heroes in the tank class is his ability to go from the defensive Omnic form to the aggressive Nemesis form. That’s not to say you can’t deal any damage while in Omnic form, but this stance lacks the firepower to consistently deliver the killing blow to enemies. Knowing when and where to select Ramattra’s forms is going to depend on a number of factors, like your team composition on which of the many Overwatch 2 maps you’re playing on.

Ravenous Vortex

Ravenous Vortex sees Ramattra project a pool of nanites onto the ground, creating a damaging field that slows any enemies caught inside. This vortex also pulls floating and flying enemies down to the ground. This ability can be used in both Omnic and Nemesis form.

Omnic Form (Void Accelerator)

Ramattra takes on a similar form to Orisa, except he comes equipped with the Void Accelerator staff. This weapon fires out a slow stream of nanites that deal consistent damage at any range, and it deals additional damage if you land headshots.

Omnic Form (Void Barrier)

Create a barrier at a targeted location using the Omnic form’s secondary ability. The barrier has 900 health and features a 15 second cooldown, giving players enough time to shut out their opponents for a few seconds. You can’t rely on this barrier for too long as it automatically shuts down after a short period of time. Ramattra can fire through his barrier, so it’s important to keep that in mind if your enemies try to push their luck.

Nemesis Form

Switching to Nemesis form provides Ramattra with 150 armour, taking his overall health total to 600. This form also switches out his Omnic abilities for powerful attacks in the Nemesis form. Nemesis form only lasts for eight seconds, so you need to use this ability strategically as you won’t have access to it all the time.

Nemesis Form (Pummel)

Ramattra replaces his staff with his massive tank arms, creating energy shockwaves with every punch. This primary attack emits a shockwave that goes through shields and barriers, creating a piercing attack capable of damaging multiple enemies in one swing.

Nemesis Form (Block)

Block incoming damage from the front by raising Ramattra’s arms up, an action which slows him down significantly. It’s important to note that this ability does leave Ramattra vulnerable from the back, so you need to keep an eye out for any flankers.

Annihilation (Ultimate)

Automatically enter Nemesis form and create a large energy circle surrounding Ramattra that swarms enemies in range for a short period of time. Enemies take constant damage while standing inside the energy swarm. As long enemies remain in range of the circle, the timer on the ultimate pauses which keeps Ramattra in Nemesis form and ensures the energy swarm remains active.

And there you have it, those are all of Ramattra’s abilities in Overwatch 2.
