Brrr! It’s December and damn if it ain’t chilly out there. You know what you need? A weekend spent under the duvet playing your favourite games. Or, if you fancy something different, perhaps one of the new games that came out this week. If only there was someone around to help you out with that… Oh, lookie here, we have a whole list of recommended PC gaming for this weekend. Let’s go!

Blizzard aren’t quite done with World of Warcraft: Legion yet. The final raid came out this past week so you’ll want to gather your friends and start trying to crack it. If you need help we have a small guide to help you linked above.
We’ve been able to bring you the exclusive reveal of two new cards that will be available as part of the Kobolds & Catacombs expansion for Hearthstone. Get all the details in the link above or watch the video below.
Lots of people are playing Destiny 2 but even more people aren’t. If you’re one of them then you can now join the thousands of others as the MMO shooter now has a free trial.
You should have already played last year’s Doom reboot if you’re a fan of the series. But have you played it in VR yet? Given that it’s only just come out on the new platform it’s unlikely. Fancy punching an imp in the face? Now’s your chance.
People are cheeky. Some Star Wars: Battlefront II players have figured out a way to farm XP without having to play the game themselves. The crafty buggers have used elastic bands over their controllers but some have gone further and are using custom-made robots.
From the same people who brought you Grow Home comes a delightful little game called Ode. It has music, hamster balls, and a delightful main character with a bubble butt called Joy. We love it so you probably will too.
What’s coming to Civilization VI with its first expansion? And what on earth is going on with Star Citizen these days? Oh, and who are the most annoying game characters of all time? All of these questions answered and more in this week’s episode of Weekend Esc.
Destiny 2 isn’t the only MMO you can play for free over this weekend. Turns out The Elder Scrolls Online is not only having a free weekend, it’s free for an entire week. Again, if you’re lacking pennies right now here’s a chance to check out a new game for free.
A new game from Mojang?! Is it Minecraft 2? Hold your excitement. Do you really think a Minecraft sequel would have arrived and the whole whole wouldn’t have known about it? No. But Mojang have published Cobalt WASD – it’s like 2D Counter-Strike with some very inventive weapons.
Not many people were into The Bureau: XCOM Declassified when it first came out. The reason being that, at the time, we lacked an X-Com reboot and this one isn’t a strategy game. It’s a shooter. Now that we have XCOM, surely we can forgive The Bureau? Worth a try at least now you can pick it up for free.
